Katy & Justin's Wedding | March 2013

Katy Schirmer and Justin Conway of Snow Hill wed at Hamstead Acres on March 16th, 2013.

Ceremony: Honeypearl Range, under the gazebo, mid-afternoon

Weather: warm and sunny-- the temperature reached almost 80 degrees and a light breeze kept the climate perfect!

Reception: A tent was setup on Farmer's Field-- Katy opted for a 40' wide x 60' long tent. Guest tables were setup under the tent and Hamstead Acres was hired to drape colorful tulle throughout the tent and accent with paper lanterns. Heritage Hall was used for the food preparation and the food displays.

Music: Katy and Justin had a DJ play both the songs that were played during the ceremony and the dance music for the reception.

Food: The couple served heavy hors d'oeuvres.

Colors/Decor: Brittany used a variety of bright pastels as her decor colors. Bridesmaids wore cornflower blue dresses. The ceremony arbor was decorated with an array of coral and white silk florals. The reception decor under the tent made use of the bright color palette, featuring bright silk florals in mason jars as centerpieces and tablecloths of alternating pastel colors. Inside Heritage Hall, a decorated arch highlighted the cake and cupcakes with the couple's new monogram while the food tables held centerpieces in cylindrical glass vases with carolina blue and white florals. The bride utilized the stage to house a memory table with various pictures of she and the groom growing up. Also on the stage was the favor table housing coozies and "redneck" wine glasses (mason jars with a candlestick "stem") with chalk panels on the front for guests to write their names on their glasses. Above the table, pictures of the couple hung from clothespins on a line draped from one side of the stage to the other.
