Lily & Chris's Wedding | October 2012
Lily Flowers and Chris Walston of Stantonsburg wed at Hamstead Acres on October 6th, 2012.
Ceremony: Honeypearl Range, under the arbor, early afternoon; Chris and Lily opted for bales of hay covered with strips of fabric in their signature colors and they even personalized the arbor with antlers! The unity candle display was made of a barrel with a burlap covered top. Chris's daughter, Hailey was the couple's special attendant.
Weather: warm and sunny
Reception: The reception and reception meal was held under a tent on Farmer's Field. Heritage Hall was used for overflow and food prep.
Music: Brittany and Joseph had a DJ play both the songs that were played during the ceremony and the dance music for the reception.
Food: The couple served a buffett dinner of Eastern NC bbq with all the fixins.
Colors/Decor: Lily opted for a country chic theme for her big day. A large burlap swag with black iron lanterns hanging from it hung in the center of the tent above the dance floor. The table linens made use of natural colors- browns and burlaps-- to keep with the theme. A gorgeous "old timey candy store" display was made from two barrels with a burlap covered piece of wood. The top of the table featured many types of candies in vintage containers. Bright, fall-colored mums and hay bales accented the area throughout the tent, bringing in seasonal pops of color.
